Patricia wrote that, “I care deeply for the future of life on Earth. I believe the size of the human population has exceeded sustainable levels globally and in many nations including both developed and less developed countries. The impact of the human species is now causing changes in the global environment, including earth , land and atmosphere that threaten survival of many species.
In my home country Australia, species are becoming threatened and extinct at a scaring rate. We know so little about this continent that we are almost certainly losing species that have not yet been discovered or recorded. Our leaders continue calls for growth in the economy and consumption and demand immigration levels that overload this country even more. I have spent years fighting environmental issues and the population growth that drives the growth of all these damaging impacts to no real avail.”
