Trish supports Speak Out because “I live on this planet. It’s the only one I can live on and it is getting destroyed by the way people are living. I can help to change this so we can continue to live. If I don’t do this, others won’t do this, and then in the end none of us will get to live at all because our planet will no longer be able to sustain life.” She has an ambitious agenda:
-Use free ‘Neighbourly” printed and web site resources to access, inform, organize, and co-ordinate people and volunteers to effect positive eco-change
-Use free Community centre venue and resources to set up information and awareness displays around eco-friendly changes we can make in our lives
-Use free Community centre to organize, co-ordinate, and run classes and courses on methods of making changes
-Use Neighbourly site to promote and advertise above classes etc
-Start a ‘Chinese Whispers’ campaign via Neighbourly to facilitate action in other neighbourhoods to do the same with their community centres
-Grow a ‘Grass Roots’ cohesive nation wide movement via social media, Neighbourly, and other free internet sites to effect change in consumer behaviour and attitudes using positive peer pressure
