Carl’s proposal for OVER:

“Our challenge is to awaken the financial world to the realities that face the world and in particular Africa. In our daily dealings we interact mostly with Private Equity firms and Financial Institutions who view the world through a slightly different lense and are traditionally more concerned with figures on a spreadsheet than the actual Impact they may be having on the environments in which they operate. We have developed a specific set of tools that are designed to manage this Impact with the traditional kinds of motivation expected from a financial worldview. Having seen your publication, I couldn’t think of a better way to get the message across and open a few doors through which we may enter and start to make significant changes in the areas where we focus.

Recipients in South Africa will include clients in the major financial Institutions, like Old Mutual, Investec Bank, Sanlam Private Equity to name a few… However, we see a huge opportunity in converting the views of private investors who will in turn demand more responsible investment options from their Brokers and Investment professionals. Our online presence will serve to communicate these objectives and we intend running a few targeted campaigns to drive awareness. The books will be perfect for our purposes…”
