Impact Narrative

Jack’s proposal for OVER:

“I belong to a local advocacy group, Bike Walk Wichita, and plan to share this information with the group, as well as others who might be interested. I could easily distribute 3-5 copies of this book to concerned residents of Wichita, KS. We have public info booths at various events, I will share the books and information there. My actions to reduce my impact on the planet include bicycling for 90% of my transportation (my 2 dogs and I just rode 5 miles round trip to the grocery store, using my bike trailer to carry a weeks worth of groceries home); careful use of water (milk jug catches almost a gallon of water before the hot reaches the tap); local shopping, especially for dining out and of course at farmers markets; and sharing these life choices with students as I’m able, as a substitute teacher. Fun to see the kids smiles as a “grownup” rolls up to the bike rack at school.”
