Impact Narrative

Jamie wrote in: “I am a college instructor of Geography, Environmental Studies and Food Systems. I can utilize this book in all 6 of my courses. Typically, I teach 3 to 4 courses per semester with an average of 25 students per class. That’s an annual outreach of 150 to 200 students! It’s said that a picture is worth 1,000 words –> so I plan to introduce major topics such as soil erosion, water consumption, water pollution, habitat destruction, animal agriculture and the meat industry, farm and factory labor, and fossil fuels/GHG gases/climate change. I will break the class into 5 to 6 groups, providing a copy of the book to each group. Ask them what details they can gather from the photos. Then, I will spring off into a formal lecture from our photo/book discussion. Thus, I am graciously requesting 5 to 6 free copies of Overdevelopment, Overpopulation, Overshoot for use with my college students. Thank you!” Speak Out was able to grant her 5 copies of OVER.
