Clean Water Action is unique in its stature as a established NGO but also in its organizing style. Each office has a canvass operation in which young people go out into local communities everyday and knock on doors and talk to residents about important environmental issues. These range from the national level all the way down to local municipalities. Most issues have to do with protecting water resources, but it all intersects with climate change and fuelled but overconsumption. These books will help staff keep the bigger picture in mind as we advocate for smaller yet intricately interwoven issues, all coming back to living and thriving on a planet with finite resources and limits to the biosphere.
The eloquently designed and organized book will go a long way to make the connection between local water protection policies and the global challenge we all face. I will use these as a source of inspiration, and in a canvass office, inspiration to make try to make change day after day is the ultimate currency. Clean Water Action has a Facebook presence of over 20,000 likes and close to 10,000 twitter followers. The organization can contribute substantially to promoting the campaign and spreading the message while at the same time fueling our own work and building on your efforts.
This request is for 3 books to be distributed to Clean Water Action’s top canvassing offices via our headquarters in Washington DC. We have offices in 15 states. I look forward to hearing back and appreciate you work.
PS I just returned from a visit to the same oil fields featured in one of your photographs, Kern County, CA.
