Katalin’s proposal for promoting OVER:
“As an assistant professor of Sculpture Department at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Music and Visual Art, during lectures and workshops I am leading we often discuss environmental issues, those themes are essential part of my daily practice. I try to make students understand that contemporary artists have to undertake the role of activist, and we all are responsible for the future of our communities, for the quality of our public places we form and share and have to leave them in good condition for the further generation. So I would like to use the required book in my teaching practice , wish to give one copy to the library of our Faculty for those students I am not in immediate daily contact. Furthermore I”d like to give an other one to my daughter’s elementary school, initiate a discussion and a creative workshop based on the photos of the book with her class I feel crucial to make schoolchildren understand early enough the importance of sustainability, the importance of environment protection, and that we all have to take an active part in it.”
