Impact Narrative

Mary Beth’s proposal for OVER:

“I will use this book to spark curiosity and activism in my middle school scholars. It will be initially used for discovery and eventually used to promote the use of 21st Century skills as scholars immerse themselves in researching the different pressing issues represented in the book.

The goal is to foster an awareness amongst scholars of issues that exist right here in there city as well as across the planet. Scholars here at Lincoln Middle School have little to no knowledge of what is going on outside the confinement of their neighborhoods. This book will open up an entire, literal world of discovery for my scholars.

After gaining insights and knowledge from this book, scholars at Lincoln Middle School will create their very own Global Awareness Campaigns within the Syracuse community. They will design and implement multi-media presentations to inform others about a given issue and empower them to take action.”
