Impact Narrative

Nanci’s plan for OVER:

“I am a student pursuing studies toward a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Science Management at University of Hawaii Maui Campus. We discuss these issues endlessly. The visual and commentary of this book is remarkable. Each picture speaks 1,000 words!

I would present these books to the department head, Professor Timothy Botkin, to share throughout the University system, especially within our discipline. A media presentation could be staged with the book bringing awareness to the student body and propose innovative ways to re-image our global future.

As island residents we are communally aware of these issues on the individual level and collectively motivated to use our island home as a model of sustainable-future development. Our planet, the island in space, is also our home.”
