Impact Narrative

Penny wrote in on behalf of her organization: “I am in the Education Department. We do professional development workshops for K-12 teachers from throughout the state of Florida. This school year we have done 7 full day (6 hour) workshops and 12 mini-workshops (1 – 3 hours). If we had only one copy we would definitely show the book at the workshop and share information on where they could get a copy for their classroom. If we had more copies we could use the other copies as prizes to teachers who are doing an exceptional job in teaching population, human (global) impact, climate change and sustainability. We also manage a free ‘lending library’ of materials for Florida teachers to borrow for classroom use. Currently we have three book (classroom sets) and two dvds that are on the list. A classroom set of your books would be a wonderful addition to our Lending Library. Additionally, we manage a project that to date has installed 10kW photovoltaic systems on 117 schools throughout the state.” We sent the group 4 books.
