Impact Narrative

Prasad’s proposal for OVER:

“I am currently the Technical Advisor to the UN-REDD Programme in Sri Lanka and work with Stakeholders ranging from state agencies, private sector, Civil society organizationa and Indigenous people and community. I addressed them in various forums and will beable to pass the information. The UN-REDD programme aims to reduce Deforestation & Forest Degradation to reduce GHGs and enhance carbon stocks. Hence please send me a free copy of the publication;I seek your permission to translate its sections to be shared with the stakeholders.

In addition we are about to launch our UN-REDD Sri Lanka website where we could provide a link.

In addition several stakeholder state sector agencies have thier own websites and can be placed in themas well subject to their Heads of Departments approval, which will not be an issue. Linked in and FB are the other networks we are connected and can be easily share the message. We do work closely with the University academics in Sri Lanka and can share the information with them as well. Some may want to include the information in their teaching as well to updated the stedents on the current trends.”
