Impact Narrative

Stephanie writes, “Currently, sustainability is the major thread of our 8th grade Marine Science class at Meridian Academy. As a small, urban, progressive school, we foster learning that leads to action. Thus far this year, we have already mentored the upstart of a small non-profit, pioneered by a 14 year old. These books would be a valuable resource for these students, would be on display at public events, including our upcoming 10 year anniversary party, and would be available for staff, students, and parents in our library. The arrival of the texts would be announced on our social media accounts. Lastly, in addition to my work in science and with students, I work as an artist. Using colored pencils and acrylic paints, I create detailed illustrations of the beautiful world and creatures that are depicted in this book. It would be my pleasure to also publicize this book through these social media profiles and website, given our aligned ideas.”
