“Whilst I am primarily a medical student, I supplement my student income by tutoring school children. I work for a large tutoring agency in South London called ‘SchoolSmart’. Currently I tutor geography, maths, chemistry, biology and physics every week to twelve children ranging from 7 to 16 years of age. I believe I could use these books as a learning resource in my lessons to show my students exactly what I mean when I talk about the environment/environmental issues we face.
On a personal level, I am very passionate about the environment and I am the Environmental Officer for the student union at my university, as well as being an active Green Party supporter, participating in local environmental events and being a member of my neighbourhood allotment society. I believe I could use these books to further engage my students (and future students) in their lessons and help them to understand my passion for the environment.”
