Tayo wrote to Speak Out: “I teach environmental ethics at a community college. It seems like the perfect catalyst for talking about many of the issues we cover in class, something I can reuse with each class as prompts for discussion activities and project ideas. I’m also a food justice advocate and bike-tivist (bicycle/no-car advocate) and do a considerable amount of speaking in communities to groups across North Dakota–again, I think the books could travel with me and be great for discussions!” He was awarded 3 books.
