Tomas is with the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC), an international organization working in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development. The activities of the organization, structured into 13 topic areas, target mainly central and eastern European countries.
Tomas’ proposal for OVER includes the following:
“As we are involved mostly in project implementation, we frequently work with various stakeholders, including but not limited to local and regional municipalities, governmental and EU officials, other NGOs, citizens, experts and so on. My plan is to distribute the book across our topic areas so that it can be used during our work as an additional source of environmental education. I personally intend to showcase the book during the trainings, workshops and other meetings, I help to organize and/or attend as a presenter. Furthermore, I would love to promote the book by placing an article on our website and encouraging our country offices to do the same. This, however, cannot be guaranteed as it must be approved by the head of our Publishing Department. I’ll pitch that idea though.”
