Rob Dresser

Rob wrote that, “I have maintained a blog, The Disaffected Lib, that focuses heavily on environmental issues and challenges with a good amount of content concerning overpopulation, over-consumption and reports from GFN on Overshoot. I come from a lightly populated island yet overpopulation and over-consumption are critical issues the impacts of which are global in reach. One minor example – when I dust my furniture, about 15% of the dust has come from China. It’s the result of desertification caused by excessive intensive agriculture aimed at feeding China’s overpopulation. NASA publishes photos taken from orbit showing the dust plumes that rise over China and cross the Pacific. Cleaning it is one thing but the greater ramifications are quite disturbing.” He shared a campaign postcard online.
