Impact Narrative

Aidan’s proposal for OVER:

“I will use the books to educate people within my high school. There are about 1,000 students enrolled at Portland High School, many of whom probably do not know the consequences of their own and other peoples’ carelessness with our world. I would use the books in conjunction with my earth science teacher and the environmental club at PHS to foster a more informed student body that recognizes the harm people are doing to our only earth. I request only a few books, as the difference comes not from the number of books I have to use but the amount of effort I put into using them. If they are granted to me, I will donate books to my school’s library, the environmental club and the science department, all in the effort to raise awareness. It is a small project, but every one counts. It is up to my generation to make the first real efforts into stopping and reversing the damage that has been done.”
