Impact Narrative

Ann’s proposal for OVER:

“I teach Middle School and the issues and photos this book shows are part of my lessons. I would like to share the photos with my classes to inspire them to be the change our planet needs. We look at the data about human effects on the planet as part of our study of statistics. I lead a class of 70 students to Yosemite to learn about geology, water sheds, and conservation of the National Park. I would also like to share the book with other instructors at our campus and especially our Environmental Academy, I think this will spur action to have a school wide, cross curriculum project. I know that these students are the future, they need to have the information to be global environmentally aware citizens. On a personal level the building I live in does not recycle requiring me to travel many miles to take my recycling, I would like to share this book with the other residents in my building to encourage all of us, to pay if necessary, for a waste management company that recycles.”
