Impact Narrative

Christina’s proposal for OVER:

“As a global leader educator, I feel that the best way to start is with the youngest group of children. Indian Trail Elementary is a Leader in Me school and we NEED a focus to encourage a change. We need something that will inspire students to want to be great, loving, empathetic leaders. I want to empower them and teach them about empathy for other countries who are less fortunate than us. We live in such a big world but yet I feel like we only care about where we are. The presentation at the Global Symposium in Chapel Hill opened up my eyes to the struggle in the world and how we are ruining it. I know that I am only one person but I can and will do what I can to help my students learn and to help the staff learn that there is more to to world than just us and the things we need. We can make a difference and this book is one way where we will start. I already have ideas in mind, such as starting a program at our school to recycle items for $$. We will then use that money to help the other less fortunate countries in need. I can’t wait to use this book to inspire my staff to jump in on the process. Thank you so much for sharing the presentation and book with us at the Global Symposium in Chapel Hill! It was truly life changing and I can’t wait to share and inspire changes with my 60 person staff and 800 students!”
