Colin’s proposal:
“I plan to conduct a presentation about the book to a joint meeting of the Sunflower Alliance and its member organizations as a way of opening up the conversation on this critical topic, inviting sister organizations to take part in the discussion. As the social media specialist for Sunflower, I’ll make sure to publicize the book discussion widely via our Twitter and Facebook accounts, using whichever hashtags and handles your organization desires. Additionally, I’ll donate one copy to the Bobby Bowens Progressive Center in Richmond, CA, which is the site of our meetings, keeping the other cop(ies) for the organization’s study.
If possible, I would like to donate one book to Movement Generation, the flagship think-tank of the Climate Justice Alliance, as a gift / token of our appreciation for the paramount work in which they’re engaged. The final book(s) would be kept for our educational purposes; we have an education committee actively engaged in climate literacy work in the area, so this in tandem with Post-Carbon Institute’s ENERGY book might be the perfect materials for our second Freirian interactive popular educational curriculum project.”
There are many ways to participate! Together, we can raise awareness and bring about change.
