Impact Narrative

Dylan is a student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

His proposal to Speak Out:

“I am part of an interdisciplinary master’s degree program in Clean Energy Engineering, and we are a small group of about 30 students from a wide variety of technical and geographic backgrounds. The common thread that we all share is a dedication to sustainability, and specifically the transition to a low-carbon, low-growth energy system. We all hope to bring something unique to the table in our academic and professional lives, finding solutions to these critical problems. I think that it would be great for us to have a copy of Overdevelopment, Overpopulation, Overshoot to share among us, and with our friends and colleagues. The book is beautiful, terrifying and inspiring, and I think it would serve as a good reminder to each of us of what we hope to achieve in our program!”
