Gordon’s proposal for OVER:
“I start conversations looking towards creating a culture of being Responsible for self, community and planet wherever the opportunity arises.
I sit on various advisory panels/groupings – the updating of the King III Code of Governance run by the Institute of Directors of South Africa being just one – this is a strong opportunity to shift from just Governance towards a more responsible Business Approach and is just one of the areas that I will use the books. I have already purchased one but would like to be able to loan copies into organisations / groups. I also assist organisations develop their Sustainability Strategies – particularly Consulting Engineering firms in South Africa.
Other organisations that I am involved with include Accelerate Cape Town – the Sustainability Forum, the Catchment Managemant Advisory Committee for the water catchment areas serving Cape Town, the South African Institute of Cicil Engineers their Transport and Environmental Committees and the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business’s Alumni organisation. I want to introduce OOO (ps) to them as part of raising the dialogue.”
