Impact Narrative

Greg’s proposal for OVER:

“Thank you for your wonderful work. I am a farmer and activist in New Zealand, passionate about being part of the change life on earth so desperately needs right now. My life is dedicated to supporting life and the evolution of our species. I endeavor to create positive change by modelling regenerative agriculture on our farm and producing healthy food for a growing community of supporters around “The Family Farm” (www.thefamilyfarm.co.nz) and hosting many visitors to our farm in a recently built eco lodge (www.mangararaecolodge.co.nz). We have a partnership with Air New Zealand and have planted almost 100,000 trees in the last 7 years. I regularly speak to groups about the challenges facing the planet and empowering people by showing how they can be part of the solution. I have lead protest marches in Hawkes Bay against Fracking and Genetic Engineering. I have a good relationship with politicians that represent our province in National government and other industry leaders who I have sent books. The most recent book I have given out was “The Great Disruption” by Paul Gilding. I would love to have your beautiful Overshoot book on display in our lodge and would like to use the amazing/tragic images when speaking to groups. Any extra copies would be passed on to people in places of influence (politicians, business leaders and media) who I believe would take the time to read it.

New Zealand has the best opportunity in the world to become an example of people living in harmony with nature but unfortunately our government is taking us in the opposite direction as we roll out the red carpet for oil companies and focus on economic growth as being the answer to every challenge. So there are many people in New Zealand working hard for a future that honors all life and future generations. The world needs leadership and living examples of what is possible when we reconnect to earth and remember our place in the circle of life.”
