Jeanie wrote, “Over the past two decades I have been reading and studying about human overshoot, the environmental devastation caused by our numbers and the specter we face – humans, non-humans, and all relations on the planet – as a result of our runaway numbers. For six years I worked at a pregnancy termination clinic. When my reading and studies on population overshoot converged with the conversations I had with women, and some men, seeking to limit their families, I had not only the educational information but also first hand awareness of how many people understand the need to reduce their reproductive footprint or have no children at all. Their stories gave added weight to my reading. I would share the copies I receive with members of several organizations to which I belong, all working in some manner towards sustainability, and to friends who are also involved in efforts to aid in the transformation to a more sustainable world. I believe there is a critical need to confront human overpopulation in a serious, straightforward manner.” We sent her two books.
