Impact Narrative

John wrote in as follows and was sent 3 books: “Our family at Dandelion is empowered by a vegan, eco-friendly ethos that centers on providing delicious food straight from our local, sustainably-minded organic farms. Over the last 8 years we have grown to be a locus for several demographics in the Greater Orlando area, raising the awareness that yes, delicious food can be healthy, flora/fauna friendly, and inexpensive. Through our several monthly events– not limited to our full moon drum circles, holistic school fresh markets, and open organic garden– we have been successfully promoting the mindful practice of simple, honest and sustainable living to the slice of the public we have generously cultivated. In this way, and as a proudly Green Certified business, we have placed our value in social and environmental responsibilities that would benefit greatly from donated copies of “Overdevelopment, Overpopulation, Overshoot.” While a donation of even five copies would be considered generous, our plan for the books is to not only add them to our bevy of similar literature that lines our shelves and coffee tables in-house, but to keep one in our little free library booth that we keep open to the public on our campus 24/7. As our business steadily grows 30% a month, so too will the amount of people that come in contact with the crucial message of “Overdevelopment, Overpopulation, Overshoot,” benefitting our local “communitea” and beyond for years to come. We are active on all social media fronts (instagram, twitter, facebook, etc) as well as located in the vicinity of several eco-centered businesses, not limited to donations-based yoga studios, the Florida School of Holistic Living, the Holistic Medicine center, etc. In other words, by endowing our business with as many copies of your book as you deem fair, we will carry on the torch, as it were, to propagate the eco-conscious message we share and reach out to the community to do the same.”
