Impact Narrative

Michan is editor-in-chief HiQuarterly Magazine.  He writes to Speak Out:

“HiQuarterly is the public quarterly printed magazine of Mensa Netherlands, an organisation for people that score within the highest two percent on intelligence tests. Each issue is centered around a central theme. I have already shared some info on the book on our Facebook page and twitter for our ‘abundance’ issue last year (in retrospect). Next to that I would like to use the book for a future theme (environment) with articles, a review in our booksection and a give-a-way contest themed around solving environmental issues. Since our readers are by definition smart and like to be challenged, we will ask them to send in intelligent solutions for environmental problems in order to be considered for the book. Our magazine has an circulation of about 5000 (and increasing) and is sent to over 400 libraries in the Netherlands and to 14 different countries. We are actively working on making this a multimedial concept so a website is being built, our social media is starting to take off and we will certainly share this contest repeatedly on our digital platforms. Since our magazine only comes out once every three months this gives us the opportunity to spend a lot of time promoting the book. On a personal note: as someone that travels a lot and finds awareness on these matters very important, I would like to take this opportunity to compliment you all on this initiative. Congrats and thanks for all the hard work.”
