Mohd’s proposal for OVER:
“I live at the country side of farming paddy area, one of “the food rice security of the State of Selangor”. However, the farmer here always used chemical and pesticides to produce more crops. There were cases where people died because of so much exposure to the chemical and pesticides. The farmers also like to burn the rice straw openly in a huge area every twice a years. As a young generation, I would like to educate my people from younger to older generation by giving them the exposure regarding the negative effect of the global pollution that they actually contribute without realizing it even at a small scale. I am planning to place the book at the community hall (Balai raya Parit 5 Barat), the library mosque (Surau Parit 5 Barat), the kindergarten and public places by rotation where people usually hangout. I am sure this can help to open the mind of people here to be more passionate and concern about our living environment. I hope Global Population Speak Out can help me realized this dream. Thank you.”
