Richard’s proposal for OVER:
“Working as a visiting lecturer and research assistant in sustainability in the department of Environment and Technology at the University of Brighton, I have good contacts with very senior and well connected professors, readers, principal and senior lecturers; people in these areas that also have a very broad audience of other academics they write with and for internationally, as well as a several thousand students combined. I plan to give to these people as many books as you would allow me to distribute, as well as placing one on the permanent reading table in the common area. We could photograph students reviewing the book together in a group; we could photo my own sustainability research group discussing the book. We could also photograph me showing the book to one of my two classes of 50+ students. Frankly I couldn’t think of a better way to get the message out about how serious population, consumption and environment is.
