Sandy’s OVER proposal:
“I am part of the group trying to push the population issue inside the Green Party. I would circulate material from the book to fellow activists as well as try to get extracts included in the party’s magazine Green World and activists’ newsletter. I am on the (national) Regional Council of the Green Party and stand as local council candidate. I am also campaign manager for our parliamentary constituency and also act as policy advisor in the NE England Region of the Green Party. I am a member of Population Matters and have had articles published in journals and newspapers such as The Ecologist and The Guardian. I’ve been interviewed on BBC NE TV a number of times and on local radio. I have given talks on population at several events, including the local university.
I am not formally representing the Green Party but I do represent an ecological current within it. I have been prominent in battles to get coverage of Population Matters in Green Party literature as well as allow it to have stalls at GP events.”
There are many ways to participate! Together, we can raise awareness and bring about change.
