Jim wrote in with the following: “This book is similar in scale and intent to Post Carbon Institute’s tome, ENERGY: Overdevelopment and the Delusion of Endless Growth. My work is largely is schools. I speak to youth, elementary thru college about climate change and sustainability solutions and I have given away 75 or more copies of ENERGY. I could surely give away copies of this book as well. What I did for Post Carbon Institute was have kids pose w/ the book and post a photo to FB. Perhaps with your book, with lesser copies available, I would target specific schools whose teachers would turn the book into an assignment for kids to study. Those finished assignments could take the form of public presentations, like at our upcoming Eco Science Fair in March. My base of operations, so to speak, is our Climate Camp, where we do immersion work in materials economy, animal agriculture and climate change, for ages 7-17. I would imagine this book would be immensely informative to that rarefied audience. Finally, I was in journalism for twenty years, and continue to freelance. I would venture this book would make for a great review, spreading the message for this most fundamental solution to our global crisis.” He was sent 20 books to carry out his work.
