Impact Narrative

Population Institute of Canada (PIC) will publicize 20 copies of OVER through academia (regular courses as well as academic meetings), environmental groups, the media, and among politicians. One of the aims of PIC is to raise awareness of the population issue and participating in the Global Population Speak Out will contribute to meeting that objective. One idea PIC has is to contact environmental studies programs at major Canadian universities, with an invitation to students in those programs to submit an essay to PIC that in some way shows the clear connection of environmental degradation to overpopulation, either in a general way or by way of specific examples. The authors of the top 5 or 10 essays would win a book.
